The Ultimate Headlight Restoration Process 1. Start sanding headlights with 800 grit - this is where majority of the oxidization is removed. 2. Sand headlight with 1000-1500-2500-3000 grit sandpaper to refine the sanding marks. 3. Compound the headlights - Using a cutting disc, compound, and a machine polisher, we'll remove the sanding marks. 4. Polish the headlights - Finally, we'll refine the cutting step to bring out maximum clarity with a light polish and polishing pad 5. Protect the headlights with a sealant for a 3 to 6 month protection
